ANTONIO NATIONAL PARK ACTIVITIES | WEATHER | LETTER HOME | MAPS & TRANSPORTATION The weather in Quepos and Manuel Antonio is sub-tropical coastal Pacific, characterized by coastal breezes, temperatures ranging from the 80s during the day to the 70s at night and moderate levels of humidity. Like most tropical countries, Costa Rica has a dry season and a wet season. These refer to relative amounts of precipitation. The dry season is not totally dry and the wet season is not totally wet. In fact, sunny and beautiful weather is experienced in both seasons. The dry or "high season" runs from December to April, the time when much of North America is experiencing winter, but the Costa Ricans call this period verano, summer. The rest of the year is the wet or "low season," or what many call the "green season," and is referred to locally as invierno, winter. The rains in either season generally bring cooling, refreshing breezes and sometimes are very exciting. They produce gorgeous sunsets, which because of our proximity to the equator occur around the same time every day, about 5:45 p.m. Temperatures vary little from season to season and generally tend to be about 69-72° in the evenings and 86-89° during the day Because Villa La Macha is 200 feet above the ocean, the Villa is cooled by continual sea breezes.
