The stay could not have been better!!! Jota and the ladies made the vacation the best ever. The meals were amazing, we loved eating in every day!! I would not change a thing and can’t wait to come back!

From waking up with the forest to enjoying Ceci’s marvelous guacamole during Sunset Happy Hour, it was enchanting! We loved the villa and its setting, and the ease with which we could either go on an excursion or simply enjoy the property and surroundings and one another’s company. Completely stress free! The villa is at once both simple and fitting to its environment, and lavish with extravagances befitting vacation. Perfect for a group, there were plenty of places for quiet solitude as well as a variety of areas that could accommodate us all, no furniture moving required. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others.

It was a wonderful week. The house and the setting were perfect. Cecelia and Jamie truly added a lot to the overall experience - wouldn’t have been the same without them.

Everything was great! What a beautiful setting! Jamie and Cecilia are truly two of the nicest and most welcoming people I have ever met - besides being very professional at what they do. One of the many highlights of staying at Villa La Macha again would be having the opportunity to see them again.

Jota, Marilin, and Sarah were just wonderful! They were extremely friendly with us and the children. I had my birthday while we were staying at the Villa and Jota had his sister make me a birthday cake...he went out of his way to make sure that we had everything that we needed to make our stay an exceptional experience. The villa is beautiful and the views are breath taking!

Villa LaMacha is a beautiful destination! The staff was exemplary. Everything we needed or wanted was taken care of immediately. The moms on the trip felt pampered due to the fact that we didn’t have to do any cooking, cleaning, or laundry! That spoiled me for future vacations!! Any issues we had were taken care of immediately and professionally. We appreciate being given the opportunity to stay at the villa.

We returned last week from an amazing 2 weeks in Costa Rica. The stay at La Macha could not have been better. The staff, the view, the monkeys, the sunsets, the jungle sounds, the peacefulness were all more than we could have imagined. OUr children were delighted by the sloths and monkeys they saw and have not stopped talking about the trip. I also wante to say some words about Jota and our babysitter Elena. They MADE our stay. Jota was everything that everyone on the website said he would be. Elena felt like family. I cried saying goodbye to her. We were lucky to be at the villa over Thanksgiving and were even luckier that all of Jota’s family and the villa staff joined us for a memorable Thankgiving feast (Costa Rican style, of course). We plan on returning next year and have visions of making this one of our yearly family vacations. I would love to have my children grow up knowing this beautiful country.

Everything was spectacular. While the villa itself was wonderful, Jota and the staff were the best (including Elaina-the babysitter). They truly made it a spectacular vacation.

Even if we had read the testimonies and knew that Jota was something extra before we came to the villa, he was even better, so special, such an expert on animals, so humble. He made our night, when we celebrated the independence day of Finland, very special. That night he helped us find Costa Rica musicians to come and play for us in the villa. Katya and Sara were very friendly even if they stayed more in the background. Their cooking was very good. No words can describe how much we appreciated the staff of the villa.

Everything about the villa was excellent including service, location, design of the house.
