“Everything was beautiful. We're already talking about when we can come back. Jota and Ceci were the best and made our stay even more enjoyable. Jota was always charming and accommodating to our every request. His suggestions regarding tours and places to go were very helpful. He even made a special trip to the airport to bring something we had left behind at the house. Ceci's meals were fabulous. We all came back weighing a little more than when we left. Thank you for sharing your wonderful house with us. We're looking forward to staying at it again.”

“We came to Costa Rica with the intention to experience the culture, hike the countryside, and most importantly relax! We accomplished all tasks set out for and more. Villa La Macha was absolutely everything we thought it would be, pristine and very accommodating. As if the house isn't an attraction by itself, the house comes with Jota and Ceci. I can't begin to explain how friendly and helpful they were in making our stay the very best. The website doesn't do the house the justice it deserves, I would highly recommend this to any group or family looking for a top-notch establishment to soak in the Costa Rica beauty and culture. We'll be back! “

“Villa La Macha was the perfect blend of natural paradise and sophisticated service. The house and grounds were clean and comfortable while perfectly integrated with the natural setting. The only thing that could have made our stay better was more time.”

“The property, view and home were spectacular, you couldn't have asked for more. At night the sounds of the ocean and wildlife were a wonderful soothing sound to put you asleep. The information that you had about the tours and surrounding area helped us a lot. I'm sure that our most memorable moments will be the beautiful sunsets and the, almost daily, visits from the squirrel monkeys, gekos and iguanas. Ceci was an excellent cook and it was a huge treat to have someone to do the housework. Our Spanish is very limited, but we still were able to communicate what we wanted for a meal or need from her (through Jota or ourselves). Ceci was a very nice, pleasant and happy person. Words cannot describe Jota, don't ever let him go. I'm sure that everyone in our party would agree that we made a friend. He was always there when we needed something and was a fountain of information. We will all recommend your property to others.”

“Jota and Ceci were fabulous - don't ever lose them. The villa is spectacular .... you know we'd go into the Manuel Antonio park and a trained guide would 'help' us to see some kind of fabulous wildlife [squirrel monkeys, capuchin monkeys, howlers, toucans, sloth, pelicans, garobos etc etc] ...and we'd be like 'oh geeze, we've already seen 10 of them at the villa!'”

“I sent an email separately yesterday, raving about how wonderful your place and the staff are. Ricardo Casto was also very helpful. We had never been to CR and with all the information you provided ahead of time along with Jota and Ceci it was perfect. We were so comfortable that it felt like home. I can't imagine not going back next year. I have never felt so comfortable and relaxed.”

“We booked the trip just from the web site and as you can imagine we were a little nervous that it would be as nice as the web site made it out to be. When we arrived at the house it beat every expectation we had, the house, the view and Ceci and Jota were excellent. We almost never wanted to leave the house! This was a family spring break vacation and was by far the best one we have had. The house and help obviously set the stage but the beaches, activities and the people set it apart. We have already booked to come back next year.”

“The nightly massage appointment was perfect after a long day of surfing. Jota and CeCi were awesome and we miss them already. They were at our beckon call and it made our trip.”

“Don’t think this could have been any better--seriously. In a word, indescribable. We intend to be back next year. Your home is perfect, an experience superior to a superior hotel. The nightly massage on the terrace overlooking the pacific didn't hurt.”

“Loved hearing profits from Villa were given to the community...made me proud to be American! Thank you for that, Scott. Would love to return. the Costa Ricans are kind, friendly, and a bit mischievous! ..would highly recommend.”

“We had a wonderful 5-week vacation at Villa La Macha! Most of all we enjoyed just being together as a family, eating Ceci's delicious cooking, and not worrying about anything beyond what beach we should visit that day. Carlos was a great Spanish teacher and Jota was very kind and attentive. We came back thoroughly relaxed and refreshed. Thank you for all your hospitality!!”

“A terrific house and super staff. Cecilia is the fastest cook I've ever seen -- dinner for ten in a matter of minutes! Jota made our trip! You are lucky to have him keeping an eye on your property - he treated us like family. I also enjoyed hearing Jota talk about your contributions to the local community and am glad we were able to contribute to those causes through our rental.”

“This was one of our best family vacations ever! The grounds and house are absolutely beautiful. Jota and Cecilia became friends. . . I highly recommend a massage while you're there! It was an absolute Paradise!”
