“Your home is magical. We just enjoyed it so much. We went kayaking in the estuary and horseback riding in the country, a couple of walks in Manuel Antonio Park, dolphin hunting, swimming at your little beach and riding the waves, running the beach at Manuel Antonio, Mass in town during Holy Week was amazing, a couple of dinners out and a couple of dinners in, massages by Todd and his wife-it was all perfect. “We just spent a week at your magnificent home in Quepos. our stay was more than perfect. We had the best family vacation we have ever had. Between the 4 of us, we caught 9 sailfish, saw at least 100 monkeys, 2 sloths, one snake (Jamie almost wouldn’t let us leave because he promised us just UNO MAS snake), 3 iguanas, over 50 amazing new birds we had never seen, and 7 of the most beautiful sunsets we have ever seen. We could not have asked for more. We all thank you for letting us share your phenomenal home.”

“Everything was great.– Jamie and Cecilia are top notch and you are very lucky to have them working at your house. Jamie didn’t take long to realize that Bruce was a jokester and I thoroughly enjoyed the banter between the two of them. Jamie could take what my husband dished out and he was good at getting Bruce back, which few people are able to do. There was a great rapport there. Cecilia was also great. The food she cooked was excellent. I’m only sad that the time I spent with her alone (when my daughter and my son’s fiancÈ weren’t there to translate) I was not able to communicate well to her how much I appreciated her, and I would have enjoyed being able to have a conversation with her, learning from her how it was to grow up in a large family, etc. She seems like a very interesting person. And I feel as though she went above and beyond the call of duty when we would sit down to eat and she would take my 5 month old grandson and leave the room so that my daughter and son-in-law were able to eat with the rest of us. We took pictures of the baby with both Jamie and Cecilia and I hope that my daughter will send those to you via e-mail so you can forward them on to Jamie and Cecilia. Thanks for providing such people-loving and people-pleasing employees..”

“I just want to thank you for a week in tropical paradise. We had the best time at your beautiful Villa La Macha. I’m having such a difficult time shaking the sand out of my sneakers and getting back to New England Winter. I’m still dreaming about the hummingbirds, the waves crashing and the big black iguanas! Our family group ranged in age from seven to seventy. Everyone became so relaxed over the course of the week. We had the chance to enjoy each other in ways that we have never had before. I’m sure that the beautiful surroundings of the house and the gorgeous environment played a part, but the care and help that Jaime and Cecelia gave to us were the other real gift. Getting to know them was definitely a highlight of the trip. My seven year old niece temporarily adopted Cecelia as her abuela. She drew pictures for Cecelia and talked about her a lot. They were both so friendly and welcoming. The food was also very, very good! We miss the fresh fruits everyday.”

They were extremely dedicated and took every step to insure we had a good time. They were extremely friendly and we appreciated everything they did for us. We are trying to replicate Cecilia’s cooking at home! Overall the facilities were better than I expected. The grounds and views are amazing - the only place like it I have ever seen in the world. The beach (and the hike to it) are an amazing treat. This is a one-of-a-kind vacation opportunity for a family.”

You have found two of the nicest, most caring, and fun employees to run your home and help your guests. Jamie could not have been more fun! My brother and I became very good friends with him during the week. He was so attentive to all of our needs. I think he was worried about my mother and me when my brother and father left us to go fishing. He made sure we had something fun to do the whole time they were gone. It was so funny! Cecilia is wonderful as well. She cooks the best food. I have never seen so many leftovers, though. We felt horrible about leaving so much food in the refrigerator. She became my Spanish tutor for the week. I think my Spanish improved about 75% because of her sitting with me each morning over coffee. My brother and I both got invitations from Cecilia and Jamie to return to Quepos and stay with their families so that we could attend school. Those two were one of the main highlights of our trip, although I think the monkeys were number one in my mother’s book!!
